MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR

God has many things in store for Anchor Baptist Church

I feel very blessed to be a member of the Anchor Baptist Family. I have felt that way since we first walked in the doors. This year will be our 3rd year at Anchor Baptist, and I can honestly say that you all have been such a source of strength and encouragement to our family. There have been many wonderful things to celebrate in the church this past year and many personal struggles. Each of us knows what it is like to go through a time of pain and grief. Unfortunately, we all experienced that way too much this past year in seeing many of our church family go home to be with the Lord. Without your love and support, I know I would not be doing very well. I also know the Lord has placed us together at this moment in our lives so we can build each other up, encourage one another, and even help get each other back on track when we need it.

Jesus said the greatest Commandment was loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. The second was to love our neighbor as ourselves. That type of love for God and love for each other is so prevalent at Anchor Baptist. I’ve never heard a selfish word spoken or seen anyone put themselves ahead of others. Instead, I have seen the sacrificial love of God shared with everyone, without exception. I know this year will have challenges all its own, but we will also have some wonderful times and great moments to share. We can always count on life to be everchanging, and we can rest assured God is never changing. God is faithful and will never leave or forsake us. God has many plans in store for Anchor Baptist Church. God is working through us to bring the Gospel message to those who desperately need to hear about Jesus. May we be faithful to the Lord this year as God expands His Kingdom. To God be the Glory!
